Keel Dolly

That 540 pound keel can hurt somebody!

We had some angle iron laying around, so it didn't take too long to weld up a dolly I could strap to my motorcycle jack.  This is the shot of my keel as I removed it for the first time.  Haha, the marine life stunk up my driveway for a few months.

Here is the nearly finished keel going back in.  Note the boards raising the jack up to the level needed to mount it in my boat.  The next modification will be to add spacers on the bottom of the dolly, so I don't have to build the bridge.  An alignment mark on the hull and keel will be painted before I remove it next, as will a jack point to have it balanced properly.
